家庭で教える理由
米国教育省によると、米国では約200万人の学生がホームスクーリングを受けています。家で子供たちに教えることを選んだ理由は多様です。
宗教学についても深く学ぶことが理由の一つとして上げられています。また、親が米軍に勤務している場合は頻繁に転勤があるため、ホームスクーリングを取り入れる家庭も多いです。
また、子供たちが何をどのように学ぶかを選ぶことができるアンスクーリング（Unschooling）をより良い教育として信じている人もいます。
Why Families Teach at Home
Nearly 2 million students are being home schooled in the United States, according to the U.S. Department of Education. For the families who choose to teach their children at home, their reasons for doing so are as diverse as they are. Incorporating religious studies into students’ education is often a factor, as is the desire for students to explore topics more deeply than schools tend to. Military families who home school often do it for stability because of their frequent moves. Some parents subscribe to the “unschooling” philosophy that puts their children at the center of deciding what, and how, they learn.
